B. D. Kher / भा. द. खेर
सुप्रसिद्ध साहित्यिक कै. भा. द. खेर यांचा जन्म १२ जून १९१७ साली कर्जत गावी झाला. त्यांची जवळपास ११७ पुस्तकं प्रकाशित झाली. 'केसरी'चे ते २२ वर्षं सहसंपादक होते तर 'सह्याद्रि'चे दहा वर्षं संपादक होते. त्यांना 'सोविएत लॅन्ड नेहरू अवॉर्ड' सह 'महाराष्ट्र राज्य पुरस्कार', न. चिं. केळकर पुरस्कार, महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषद जीवन गौरव पुरस्कार, मृत्युंजय पुरस्कार, यासह अनेक राष्ट्रीय आणि आंतरराष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार आणि मानसन्मान लाभले. त्यांच्या साहित्यावर पुणे विद्यापीठात पीएच.डी केली गेली. त्यांच्या 'यज्ञ', 'अमृतपुत्र', 'हिरोशिमा', 'चाणक्य', 'हसरे दुःख', 'दि प्रिन्सेस', 'गंधर्वगाथा', 'कल्पवृक्ष', 'सारथी सर्वांचा' अशा कादंबऱ्या विशेष गाजल्या. 'स्टेट-गेस्ट' या नात्यानं त्यांनी लेखनासाठी रशिया, युरोप, जपान इत्यादी राष्ट्रांचा प्रवास केला. २१जून २०१२ साली वयाच्या ९६व्या वर्षी त्यांनी या जगाचा निरोप घेतला.
Renowned journalist-author late Mr. B. D. Kher, LLB, born on 12 June, 1917, has over 117 books to his credit. At the age of 89, he wrote a novel on the life of Saint Dynaneshwara— ‘Sanjeevan’ and at his 90s, he wrote a novel on the life of Balgandharva ‘Gandharvagatha’.
At the age of 7 yrs, he decided to become a writer. His first book of short stories ‘Naadlahari’ was published on 3rd September 1939. In that period he wrote about 40 novels and other books. His first novel was ‘Vijay’, afterwards he wrote ‘Anand Janmala’, ‘Aai Mazi Aahe’, ‘Nandadeep’, ‘Gulabacha Phool’, ‘Krantichya Vatewar’, ‘Barlin Gangela Milale’, and many such social novels which received good response from the readers that time.
He was assistant editor of ‘Kesari’ for 20 yrs and was managing editor of ‘Sahyadree’ monthly for 10 yrs. He was one of the editors of the complete work of Lokamanya Tilak-(7000 pages) and also worked as an assistant editor of ‘Agrani’. He was an editor of the ‘Savarkar Sahitya Navneet’ as well.
Mr. Kher is acclaimed as the pioneer of the biographical form of novel. His first biographical novel was ‘Yagya’- (Savarkar). Then he wrote novels like ‘Amrutputra’ (Lal Bahadur Shastri), ‘Aanand Bhavn’ (Nehru Family), ‘Prabuddha’ (Dr. Ambedkar), ‘Digvijay’ (Napoleon), ‘Chankya’, ‘Hasre dookha’ (Charlie Chaplin), ‘Krantifule’(Chapekar), ‘Samarsaudamini’(Rani of Zanshi). All these novels were appreciated by the readers. He also wrote novels on Mahabharata- ‘Kalpavruksha’, ‘Saarathi sarvancha’ (Shri Krishna), ‘Setubandhan’ (Shri Ram). All his writings were done with the sole aim of creating high moral standards in the society.
As a State Guest, Mr. Kher travelled to Russia, England, Germany and Japan to collect the reference material for his novels. He was interviewed on NHK— Japan and delivered speech on Moscow Radio as well.
He died at the age of 96 on 21st June, 2012. Phd was done on his literary work in Pune University.
Rajeev Patel / राजीव पुरुषोत्तम पटेल
वाणिज्य शाखा पदवीधर राजीव पटेल हे प्राचीन संस्कृतीचे अभ्यासक आहेत. त्यांचे पिताश्री कै. प्रा. पुरुषोत्तम काका यांच्याकडून त्यांना सुयोग्य मार्गदर्शन आणि संस्कार लाभले. सुमारे ३० वर्षं ते पूजनीय पांडुरंगशास्त्री आठवले यांच्या स्वाध्याय कार्यात कार्यरत आहेत. श्री. पटेल यांच्या 'वैदिक', 'याज्ञवल्क्य', 'पितामह', 'स्वर्ग', 'शक्तिपीठ' अशा कादंबऱ्या मराठीत विशेष गाजल्या. त्यांची 'वैदिक' ही कादंबरी सर्वकाळ 'बेस्ट-सेलर' कादंबरी ठरली आहे. त्यांना महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषदेचा 'मृत्युंजय पुरस्कार' लाभला. त्यांच्या पुस्तकांच्या इंग्रजी अनुवादाचं कार्य सुरू आहे.
Mr. Rajeev Patel, commerce graduate, worked for 30 years in Swadhyay Pariwar. He is highly learned scholar of ancient Indian scriptures. He obtained this knowledge from his father Prof. Purushottam Patel as well as in Swadhyay. His first novel that was published by Vihang Prakashan ‘Vedic’ received tremendous response from the readers and critics as well. It appeared in ‘all-time bestseller’ list. His novels: ‘Pitamaha’ on the life of Bhishma, ‘Yadnyavalkya’ on the life of Rishi Yadnyavalkya, ‘Shaktipeeth’ on the life of Sage Markandeya and ‘Swarg’ on the life of Rishi Parashara received equal response from the readers. He is recipient of ‘Mrutyunjay Award’ of Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad.

राजेन्द्र खेर (बीकॉम, जन्म ३ जानेवारी १९६१) यांची १० पुस्तकं प्रकाशित झाली असून त्यांना विविध भाषांमध्ये लाखोंच्या संख्येनं वाचकवर्ग लाभला आहे. नेपोलियन बोनापार्टच्या जीवनावरील 'दिग्विजय' या कादंबरीपासून त्यांच्या स्वतंत्र लेखनकार्याला १९९६ साली प्रारंभ झाला. 'देह झाला चंदनाचा' या परमपूज्य पांडुरंगशास्त्री आठवले यांच्या अलौकिक जीवनकार्यावर आधारलेल्या कादंबरीनं त्यांना प्रचंड यश दिलं. आजवर या कादंबरीच्या मराठीत ३० आवृत्त्या प्रकाशित झाल्या. 'काया बनी चंदन' (गुजराती) १७ आवृत्त्या, 'देह बन गई चंदन' (हिंदी) ४ आवृत्त्या, The Silent Reformer (इंग्रजी) ४ आवृत्त्या प्रकाशित होऊन देश-परदेशात त्यांना मोठा वाचकवर्ग लाभला. खेरांची 'गीतांबरी' ही कादंबरी इंग्रजीतून अमेरिकेत प्रकाशित झाली. 'उदयन', 'देवांच्या राज्यात' ही पुस्तकं Leadstart (Platinum Press/Celestial Press) तर्फे इंग्रजीतून प्रकाशित झाली. Life After Life हे पुस्तक Celestial Pressतर्फे लवकरच इंग्रजीतून प्रकाशित होत आहे. 'धनंजय', 'बिंदूसरोवर' अशी त्यांची इतर पुस्तकंही विशेष गाजली. 'बिंदूसरोवर' इंग्रजीतून नुकतंच प्रकाशित झालं. पाठोपाठ 'धनंजय' ही कादंबरी इंग्रजी आणि गुजराती भाषांमधून प्रकाशित होत आहेत. त्यांना ना. ह. आपटे पुरस्कार, गदिमा प्रतिष्ठानचा 'चैत्रबन पुरस्कार', महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषदेचा 'युगंधर पुरस्कार', 'सुखकर्ता पुरस्कार', 'संतदर्शन सन्मान', संस्कारभारती गौरव', पुणे महानगरपालिका गौरव' असे अनेक पुरस्कार आणि मानसन्मान दिले गेले.
राजेन्द्र खेरांनी चित्रपट क्षेत्रात ९ वर्षं काम केलं तर दूरचित्रवाणी वाहिनीवर २ वर्षं दिग्दर्शक म्हणून काम केलं.
Rajendra Kher was born in Pune, India on 3rd of January 1961. He completed his graduation from Pune University and is been writing since last 22 years. His father late Mr. B. D. Kher was also a prolific author with over a hundred books published.
Rajendra has a count of 10 works published till date, and majority of them are translated and widely accepted across languages throughout India and abroad. Mr. Kher has received 5 prestigious awards for his contribution in the field of literature so far.
His novel Geetambari, based on Bhagavad-Gita, received equal response from readers and critics. English translation of this novel- The Song of Salvation published by Zumaya Publications, USA. Leadstart publishing published his book in English: EMPIRE OF THE GODS; ‘Udayan; The Forgotten Pandava’, a historical novel and ‘Life After Life’, a non-fiction. His work includes a novel Digvijay (The Victory), on the rise and fall of Napoleon Bonaparte, now in its fifth re-printing, ‘The Silent Reformer’ (detailing the life and times of revered Pandurang Shastri Athavale, founder of Swadhyay Parivar). Thanks to the tremendous audience response the Marathi version of this novel is currently in its 30th edition. Dhananjay, a novel on the life of Arjuna, in its seventh re-printing. His recent suspense-fantasy novel Bindusarovar (The Bindu Lake) became popular among the readers and appeared in TOP 5 book-list of prestigious news-paper, Devanchya Rajyaat, were Gods astronauts? It is in 5th reprinting.
He has had his fare share of experience in the film business, having spent around 10 years in Indian Film Industry both for small and big screen. A notable 2 years of this journey were spent as Programme Director for a renowned TV channel. He has to his credit numerous scripts, screenplays and short stories for newspapers and magazines.

Harshad Sarpotdar / हर्षद सरपोतदार
Harshad Sarpotdar born on 22nd January, 1961, Ratnagiri (Maharashtra, India). He is M.Com., LL.B.(Spl), D.T.L. and working as Self Employed. (Internal Auditor.)
His Literary Contribution : First book ‘Papyacha Pitar’ (Marathi) published in 1996. It is the story of struggle of a young man from a small town who comes to the city to pursue higher studies and then to earn money. It got the Author ‘Best Young Writer’s Award’ in 1998 in the ‘All India Marathi Meet’ at Parali Vaijanath. (Publisher : Shrividya Prakashan, Pune.)

Dr. Kalyan Kulkarni / डॉ. कल्याण कुलकर्णी
Dr. Kalyan V. Kulkarni is a Lecturer of Economics in B.Y.K. College of Commerce since 1978. He did Ph.D. from Pune University in 1998 on ‘Relevance of Kautilya Arthashastra in Present Indian Economy.’ Additionally he did M.A. Economics from Marathwada University Aurangabad in 1975. He is also Parangat – Vidya Prem Vardhan Pariksha conducted by Tatvadnyan Vidyapeeth Thane. Dr. Kulkarni Involved in constructive work of Rev. Pandurang Shastri Athavale's Swadhyaya Movement.
